Kingsway Podiatry is jointly owned by two leading Perth podiatrists in Gavin Garton and Chris Mitchell. Both have Bachelor Of Science degrees from Curtin University Of Technology and have more than 10 years experience in Podiatry. In 2011 they welcomed Savannah Van De Meeberg to the practice, who graduated from The University Of Western Australia and has integrated well into the team.

All of our Podiatrists are registered with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and are members of the Australian Podiatry Association.

Gavin Garton

Gavin has been a registered podiatrist since 1992 after completing his Bachelor of Science degree in podiatry at Curtin University. He spent the first five years of his career working in Tasmania in both public and private practice. He is experienced in all aspects of Podiatry and has a particular interest in Foot Mobilisation Techniques (FMT), Western Medical Acupuncture (dry needling) and Sports Podiatry. He founded Kingsway Podiatry after returning from Tasmania in 1997 for knee surgery, which ended his football career.

Tasked with coordinating podiatry services at several Hopman Cup tennis tournaments, he continues to outperform in the pursuit of excellence for the elite athlete and occasional athlete alike. He also provided services to and played league football for the Devonport Football Club in the TFL during the mid 1990's.

Gavin was also invited to provide his services to the visiting Manchester United Football Club for two exhibition matches in 2019.

He has been a member of the Australian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, sports coordinator for the Australian Podiatry Association (WA) Sports Special Interest Group and has served on APodA(WA) Council as Vice President.

Gavin is happily married with two children and enjoys spending time with his family, travel, AFL football, touch rugby, golf, and fishing when he can.

Chris Mitchell

Chris is a qualified, registered Podiatrist, completing his Bachelor degree at Curtin University in 1999. Chris then worked as a contractor in both public and private hospitals. In 2000 he founded his own private practice in City Beach which is still in operation today.

Chris has a keen interest in sports podiatry and podiatric surgery and has observed various surgical procedures in order to gain a deeper understanding of the complex nature of the foot. Chris regularly participates in furthering his professional development which includes qualifications in Advanced Orthotic Therapy, Mobilisation and Manipulation, Trigger Point Therapy, Acupuncture and Radiology. Being a podiatrist has allowed Chris the opportunity to meet a wide range of interesting people which assists in making his working day a pleasure.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys DIY projects, surfing, water skiing and fishing. He keeps fit playing basketball, tennis and beach volleyball. Chris and his wife have two young children and enjoy taking them down south when they can.

Savannah Van De Meeberg

Savannah completed her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine study at The University of Western Australia in 2018. Prior to that, she completed her undergraduate degree of Human Biology Preclinical at Curtin University in 2015. Savannah is a registered Podiatrist with the Podiatry Board of Australia, and is also a current member of the Australian Podiatry Association, and Podiatry Western Australia.

After completing majority of her practical study in Primary care hospitals, Savannah has a special interest in the prevention of foot complications related to certain metabolic diseases, including Diabetes. Being a big advocate for living an active lifestyle, Savannah is eager to get you moving and keep you on your feet!

When Savannah isn't working, she enjoys running, exploring the Western Australian coast and spending time with her family.
